There was a moment in 2015 when the four of us siblings, having been raised together in the 90’s and early 2000’s, began to realize that we had all started to grow up. Some of us had already begun the process of starting new lives in various places throughout the country, and we needed a way to keep in touch. While our interests were widely varied, we all held in common a love of writing. As a result, we started spending our free time in the summer exchanging creative writing challenges.
The challenges started out with simple descriptions of fictional characters, or short poetry, and eventually evolved into full length essays on meaningful topics and even a ten-page slam-poetry battle between characters of a different religious perspective. We decided to create this blog as a platform to release some of the material generated by this project for other quirky people who, like us, share a love of words.
